Wigtown launches a unique exhibition and book involving 35 of Scotland’s most celebrated poets. The installation comprises a model church and graveyard designed by Hugh Bryden. Each gravestone contains a memorial to a Scot, some brilliant, some quietly dynamic, some plain insane, who never quite made the history books. Some of the distinguished poets joining editor Hugh McMillan for readings during the event include Andy Jackson, Gerda Stevenson, Aileen Ballantyne, Morag Anderson, Douglas Lipton, Finola Scott and Chris Dolan.
