Vicky Allan and Anna Deacon

The Art of Wild Swimming

County Buildings
In person event
Thu 30 Sep
12:00 UK

Writer Vicky Allan and photographer Anne Deacon celebrate taking the plunge in characteristically unstuffy fashion. In The Art of Wild Swimming Scotland (and its companion volume for England and Wales) they draw upon the passion and expertise of the wild swimming community to identify the most refreshing places to dip a toe or more. How do you get started? What - if anything - do you need? And why is it so good for you? In this informal session, they share their passion.

About the authors: Vicky Allan is a columnist and feature writer for The Herald. Anna Deacon has worked as a photographer for 11 years following a career in the music industry. Their previous books together include For the Love of Trees: A Celebration of People and Trees.
