Ounce Dice Trice square

Ounce Dice Trice is a brand new artist led trail that will take place during Wigtown Book Festival 2026. The trail will celebrate Whithorn born writer and poet Alastair Reid, in the centenary of his birth, by ‘playing’ with language from his book of the same name.

Festival visitors can expect to enjoy whimsical and imaginative words such as Ounce, Dice and Trice interpreted by local artists and businesses displayed throughout the town. Pick up an Ounce Dice Trice Trail from The Festival Bookshop and see if you can find them all! (A £50 book token prize for one lucky person who does).
