Watch | An audience with Joanna Lumley

9 April 2020

In 2013, Wigtown Book Festival was lucky enough to welcome Joanna Lumley. The actor was (and remains) a passionate campaigner for Scotland's new National Centre for Children’s Literature at Moat Brae in Dumfries, which was at the time trying to raise money and awareness prior to its launch. Happily it worked as the Peter Pan Moat Brae opened in 2019 (www.peterpanmoatbrae.org).

In the course of a wide-ranging conversation with former BBC journalist and festival regular Andrew Cassell, Joanna talks about Ab Fab, The Avengers, the joys of Galloway, Peter Pan and how to survive on a desert island. (Spoiler: the last bit involved making a pair of shoes out of her bra.)
