Nurturing a love of stories

1 October 2019

Children are very much at the heart of this year’s festival, with all sorts of fun events taking place to nurture a love of stories and storytelling.

This coming weekend we will have Shoo Rayner, Vivian French, Renita Boyle and many others telling stories and hosting events.

Peter Horacek will tell stories and draw pictures in Silly Geese, Grumpy Ducks and Greedy Goats while Kristina Stephenson will ask Why Are There So Many Books About Bears?

Last weekend children had a fabulous time when they joined Wigtown artist Sarah Stewart to create crowns, masks and a giant dragon mural ahead of a brilliant Princesses and Dragons Tea Party with Vivian French.
