You can even enjoy road biking on the scenic and traffic free roads around the Machar’s area of Dumfries and Galloway.

Time passes slowly here; Garlieston is the quietest of the old Scottish fishing villages. At first the only noise you will hear is the rush of water that used to power the wheel for the mill. Stone circles, ancient roman ruins and relics of early Christianity are all worth finding in this unspoilt and timeless place

We have two guest rooms; Gertrude and Virginia, available and both are newly refurbed and are very comfy and cosy.

The rooms have shared facilities including bathroom; which is newly refurbed with toilet, bath and walk in shower, kitchenette and a further separate toilet. The rooms are very private and have their own entrance and you will have a key to come and go as you please. Each room as a tv and free wifi.

Breakfast is included in our tariff and we are more than happy to cater to your needs, these will be discussed on booking. Other meals are available at our discretion but there will be an additional charge.
