Marjorie Lotfi Gill
The Poetry of Art
The Living Room
Saturday 26th September 2015

From Auden’s “Musée des Beaux Arts” to Keats’ “Ode to a Grecian Urn”, so many poets have been inspired by works of art. For her Wigtown Book Festival residency at this year’s Arts & Crafts Open Studios Event Spring Fling, the poet Marjorie Lotfi Gill took her inspiration from the work of exhibiting artists – and encouraged others to do the same. She presents some of the best work submitted and talks about the process of responding to the visual arts on the page.
