Spring Fling x Wigtown Book Festival Residency

"On Saturday I saw a curlew flying across the moorland.
Last week in the South Lakes I saw a heron wading.
Today in the art gallery we saw a pile of taxidermied kingfishers."

We are delighted that the Spring Fling x Wigtown Book Festival Residency has returned for 2019.

At this year's Spring Fling, writer-in-residence poet Ken Cockburn explored the links between birds, art and the landscape in which it is made. Ken travelled the Spring Fling studios talking to makers and visitors alike, holding workshops and creating new work to be revealed for Wigtown Book Festival (27 September - 6 October 2019). Many joined him for a conversation about where culture meets nature.

Read Ken's write-up of his residency on his blog.
