We're still working hard on events for the festival (writing away to all the authors YOU said you wanted to see this year!) but I can now give you a sneak preview of what's coming up…

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Launch Party

The Wigtown Book Festival is proud to announce that we’re launching Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in the Machars.

If your child is aged between 0 and 5 and lives in the Machars peninsula, south of the A75, including Newton Stewart and Minigaff, he or she is eligible to receive a free, age-appropriate book through the post every month!

Our launch party will take place at 2pm in the County Buildings, Wigtown on Sunday 4th May and will include a performance by “The Gruffalo” author Julia Donaldson as well as other entertainment, refreshments and the opportunity to register your child. Children can also come dressed as their favourite character from a book.

Please bring your toddlers and join us!
