Welcome to The Wigtown Book Festivals Charity Auction Webpage

The 2011 Inaugural Wigtown Book Festival has come and gone to astounding success. In total £3115.00 was made on the night, so a big thank you must go out to everybody who generously donated and those who generously bid.

Star guests included, Johnny West, Max Arthur, Elaine C Smith and Robert Twigger. Finn McCreath was excellent as the auctioneer and host for the evening, humorously encouraging people to dig deep into their pockets. Flavours of Galloway also kindly delivered delicious canapés for the evening.

We are now looking for new lots for the 2012 Auction, which will take place on Friday 5 October. If you have any brilliant ideas or exciting lot's to donate feel free to contact the festival office for more details.
